
Conditioning
This class combines yoga, pilates, plyometric, isometric, and cardiovascular exercises in a fun and approachable way so dancers of all levels/styles have the knowledge to perform at their optimum. Students will learn injury prevention, and gradually build the strength and flexibility that's needed to support the physical demands of dance.
THEATRE DANCE
The emphasis of theatre dance is to TELL THE STORY. All the movement and choreography will be created based off of the intention of the scene and the characters that are featured in the scene. It’s the perfect class to enjoy and explore an array of dance styles and techniques that will all directly reflect and highlight the music and storyline presented and taught in class.
Interned and had various scholarships at legendary dance studios such as Giordano Jazz, Joel Hall, Lou Conte, and Broadway Dance Center, after graduating Western Michigan University with a B.F.A. in Dance, Katrina lived out her Broadway dreams in New York City. It was there where she was mentored by greats such as Andy Blankenbuehler (choreographer /Tony award winner for ‘In the Heights’ and ‘Hamilton’), Joshua Bergasse (choreographer and Emmy award winner for ’SMASH’), and Chet Walker (co-creator of the Tony award musical ‘Fosse’) to name a few. Katrina danced and showcased her choreography on and off broadway theaters and regional theatres throughout the past fifteen years.
